I took some photos of a new member of the Calgary Royals hockey team and here is a small sample from the shoot out on the ice. I used a fog machine and blue gels to create some of the photos. Most images involved 2-3 lights.

I put on my skates and took my camera and lights onto the ice for these team and individual photos of Sauce Hockey 2012 here in Calgary. I also put a poster together for each player, combining individual portraits with the team photo, shown at the end of this post. Shot with a Nikon Z6II.

Figure Skating in Scarboro

Skating and Calgary go hand-in-hand and with a beautiful new outdoor rink in Scarboro appearing this year, I met up with Nadia, a Team Canada weightlifter and ex-competitive figure skater to take some photos. The rink is very quaint and the skyline offers the perfect backdrop for photos.
