I am now an accredited photographer with the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). I submitted ten photos for judging with the Canada-wide association, with all photos needing to pass the test. My ten images are below.
Submitted photos must all be from different events, with at least five being published. According to the PPOC, the photographer “should demonstrate the photographer’s knowledge of the sport being photographed by capturing the peak of action, as well as being able to deal with the adverse conditions of sports photography.”
My submission included images from National Hockey League, Lake Louise FIS Ski World Cup, National Lacrosse League, Spruce Meadows show jumping, FIS Freestyle Moguls World Cup, Ironman 70.3 Canada, the Calgary Stampede and the Calgary National Bank Challenger tennis tournament. Photos were either shot for NHL Images, Icon Sportswire, Calgary Roughnecks, The Provost News, or just myself.
